Outpost’s Federica Furlotti leads Music PR course at SMB

We are thrilled to announce that Outpost’s very own Federica Furlotti, whose 10 year career in music has seen her work with a host of major artists from Bjork to Reverend and the Makers to Craig David, has been invited to lead a Music PR course at the new School of Music Business (SMB).

Beginning in April 2016, Federica will be using her years of experience and expertise to teach ‘An Introduction to Music PR’ at SMB in Kensington, for which enrolment is now open. Additional courses will be available in areas including running a successful record label, artist management and social media, spearheaded by prominent industry figures including AIM Award-winning Alcopop Records founder, Jack Clothier; Tim Ferrone – who has worked at EMI, Universal and Ministry of Sound – and Deezer UK’s Social Media Manager Mickey Tropeano.

SMB will aim to equip musicians and music business hopefuls with the skills and networking required to succeed in what is an increasingly competitive industry, with 20% of its profits being donated to support emerging artists and business start-ups through grants.
