Outpost’s Fun-Filled Five

With Easter speeding towards us, it has been all guns blazing at Outpost HQ. Outpost Group has a brand new website, which you can check out here, and we have an amazing array of upcoming releases ready to hit in the Spring, so as a special seasonal treat we thought we’d put together an egg-citing guide to keep you entertained over a long weekend in London (sorry, we couldn’t help ourselves).

Read on for our hot tips!

Thirsty Thursday

deadly rhythm

At Outpost we seize any chance we can to get out and about, and a Friday off presents an opportunity we simply can’t refuse. This Thursday, Deadly Rhythm – who’ve hosted the likes of Four Tet, Dego, Floating Points and Kode 9 – are ushering in the Easter Weekend by taking over the whole of Peckham’s Bussey Building and teaming up with Horse Meat Disco, who will be running through everything from italo disco to house in the main room, and Rye Wax, who will take up residency in the basement.

Fun on Friday

Catch back-to-back screenings of classic animated films created by Pete Firmin and Oliver Postgate at the V&A Museum Of Childhood in Bethnal Green. From Bagpuss and The Clangers to Ivor The Engine, the free screenings will take place from Friday – Sunday.

Forget the Boat race – Spitalfields City Farm is where it’s at this Easter Sunday, when it will play host to some serious farmyard shenanigans: the athletic prowess and majesty of the annual Oxford Vs Cambridge…Goat Race. That’s right; the clash of the titans is upon us and it’s no time to pull in your horns – this one’s bound to float your goat!

Munch on Monday

DuendeINSET_913

After a long weekend of fun, there’s only one thing left to do: eat. Victor Garvey has just opened his cosy, copper-hued bar and restaurant Duende, serving intricately prepared Spanish tapas with a Japanese twist. From the Galician seaweed salad and Pacharan marinated salmon rulada to Turron de Gijona ice cream sandwiches, how else would you bring the Easter weekend to a close than by over-indulging in delicious food at London’s latest restaurant? See you there.
